#MedSafetyWeek 2020

Medicines are the most frequently used intervention to improve a person's health and wellbeing. This week is #MedSafetyWeek 2020 with the theme of focusing on 'your report matters'. Encouraging staff and patients to report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) to the Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring (CARM). While it is hard to predict who will experience an ADR, it is essential that any potential risks are understood and communicated to patient and healthcare professionals. Reporting helps to identify new ADR, recognise unexpected and serious safety problems, and gain more information about unknown effects.

This week, please report to your GP or to CARM , any Adverse Drug Reactions - as your report matters for the safe use of medicines for everyone.
