We are not a crisis counselling service

If you think you, or someone you know may be thinking about suicide, call the Suicide Crisis Helpline for support on 0508 828 865 available 24/7.

  • For high risk mental health situations (e.g. suicide attempt) phone the Mental Health Assessment & Brief Care (ABC) Team on 0508 292 467. The ABC Team are Te Whatu Ora’s 24/7 on site and mobile mental health assessment team responding to people experiencing distressing and/or debilitating mental health concerns across Taranaki.
  • Lifeline Aotearoa is a free mental health support and counselling service available 24/7. Call 0800 543 354 or free text 4357.
  • 1737 is a free service for New Zealanders feeling down, anxious, a bit overwhelmed or just need to chat to someone. Call or text for free 24/7.
