AmeriCarna Rolled into Town, Raising much needed funds for hospice palliative care
The sausages were sizzling, but the cars stole the show!
AmeriCarna once again brought its vibrant energy to Taranaki, and Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki was fortunate to be part of the action. $4,000 in total was raised to support compassionate palliative care in our community.
Our BBQ fundraisers fired up at the AmeriCARna welcome evening and the lively AmeriCARnival in New Plymouth’s CBD, where we served up delicious sausages from a Mac Truck BBQ—generously supplied for the occasion. This incredible piece of engineering is more than just a barbecue; its bold design and functionality made it a true showstopper. We were proud to be cooking on such a statement piece, adding to the excitement of the event while raising funds for Hospice.
John Rae organised and paid for all the BBQ essentials, additional JR organised a quick sale and an auction of Brizo signs, to raise additional funds.
A shout-out of appreciation to John Rae and JRI —not just a supporter, but a Hospice Champion. “Definition of a Hospice Champion actively supports hospice care by raising awareness, advocating for services, and encouraging community involvement”. Thank you John.
A heartfelt thank you to JR, TVET, and the AmeriCARna team for welcoming us to your event and standing beside us in our mission. Your support helps us continue caring for our community.
