Ngaru - our Christmas Bauble by Spencer Bellas

We care for families and friends as well as the patient, both before and after a death.

Which is how we came in to contact with contemporary Maori artist Spencer Bellas – the designer of our hand painted collectable bauble.

Spencer and his whanau were supported by hospice when their uncle was dying in 2017. The whanau appreciation of their values, connection, spirit and ritual left an amazing impression on his immediate family who were the closest to his uncle and is the background to the design of the bauble with the ngaru, which is Maori for wave, represents the journey of life, multiple waves moving together as whanau.

The full $10 purchase of the price of each bauble sold is donated to us – for our services. Currently available at Farmers New Plymouth store.

Ngaru – the journey of life, multiple waves coming together. Christmas is a time to reflect on whanau who are no longer with us and to celebrate with those who are.
