Wednesday Kōwhai Connection

Join Us for Community Connection and Fun

At Te Rangimarie Hospice, Wednesdays are more than just a day; they are an invitation to join our Kōwhai Connection, a heartwarming opportunity for community patients to gather together.

What to Expect

The Kōwhai Connection is a relaxed and informal haven — a “safe” place for patients to unwind, have fun, and connect with others facing similar situations.

In this friendly and non-medical environment, attendees can engage in a variety of activities and fellowship.

Importantly, there is no charge to attend, and volunteer drivers are available for those who may need assistance.

Activities and Fellowship

From coastal walkway buggy rides to outings, music, song, dance, guest speakers, bingo, cards, quizzes, and garden parties—our Kōwhai Connection offers a delightful array of activities. It’s not just about passing the time; it’s about creating meaningful connections and enjoying moments of joy.

Caring for Carers

For carers, the Kōwhai Connection provides a precious opportunity for personal time, knowing their loved ones are safely entertained and embraced in the warmth of our community.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

Amidst our joyful gatherings, we prioritise everyone’s safety. All necessary precautions are taken to protect our staff, volunteers, and patients, ensuring a secure environment.
